the ft. lawton historic housing survey was performed in 2007 to document the existing inventory or conditions of base housing being turned over to private developers. the houses were built between 1899 and 1904 and originally housed naval officers serving at the fort. the survey detailed special features of each house as well as modifications to the historic fabric. the property became the ft. lawton historic district in 1978.
